Guidelines for Teachers

Introduction to the module

With its various themes, the second module reflects the wealth of Muslim cultures nourished by the Holy Scriptures and by contacts between the Islamic world and other cultures. We retained a major religious figure (Marie), a founding myth (the creation of man), legends (The Sleepers of the Cave, the fabulous bestiaries), art (the gardens, the mosque) and practices (the "visits "to the saints). Other themes are devoted to more sensitive issues, the ones of Jerusalem, of images and of Muslims in Europe.
