Introduction to the module

Par la variété des thèmes, le second module reflète la richesse des cultures musulmanes nourries par les textes fondateurs et les contacts entre le monde de l'islam et les autres cultures. On a retenu une grande figure religieuse (Marie), un mythe fondateur (la création de l'homme), des légendes (Les Dormants de la caverne ; les bestiaires fabuleux), l'art (jardins, mosquée), les pratiques (« visites » aux saints). Des thèmes sont consacrés à des questions plus sensibles, celle de Jérusalem, de l'image et des musulmans d'Europe.
